US SAILING Safe Powerboat Handling Certification - May Weekends

This 16-hour hands-on, on-the-water course is for anyone who wants to learn how to safely operate a small motorboat and improve their boat handling skills on actual boats.

US Powerboating, affiliated with US Sailing, has been working with the USCG to provide the Best powerboating course out there. 

The Safe Powerboat Handling Certification will cover every aspect of the Maryland Safe Boaters Course while preparing you with the skills you need to be an effective boater - anywhere in the U.S.!

This course is great for young and old alike, and our small class sizes - typically 4 students or less per instructor - enable us to cater to your personal learning style.

Once receiving the certification you will be able to operate a powerboat in the state of Maryland and is US Coast Guard approved. The certificate you receive will be considered your license to be on the water.
