AT Capacity/ Come down as a spectator! VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION: Access-ability YA GOTTA REGATTA 2019

Registration

  • Help us set up and decorate tables for lunch as well as sort and handout the awards to our participants during the awards ceremony!

    Arrive at 12:45PM hustle until 1:15PM
    Enjoy lunch!
    Break down begins at 2:45PM
    wrap up at 3:00PM
  • Help guide participants down to their designated boats on the docks, assist with wheelchairs etc.
  • Welcome and sign in participants and help them put on life jackets etc.
  • Help us prepare the boats for the Regatta by setting up the sails, loading the dinghies into the water and de-rigging them after the event.
  • Ride with the powerboat operator and help coach the participants while they are on the water. Sailing exp required.
  • Help participants navigate the course while driving the powerboat. Powerboat exp and license req.
  • Race with our very special participants in the Access Dinghy regatta. Prior Access Dinghy sailing experience helpful, but not required.
  • Help the transfer lead to use the hoyer lift to transfer participants in and out of the boats.

2019 Volunteer Registration for Access-ability Ya Gotta Regatta

This event is at capacity for volunteers unless you are a skipper level volunteer or you would like to just be a spectator. Please email Johanna@downtownsailing.org to let the event coordinator know you are coming. 

Thank you for volunteering for the 2019 Ya' Gotta Regatta. This Regatta would not be possible without your volunteer support. 

Here's the schedule for the day: 

11AM- Volunteers arrive to rig dinghies / keelboats and help to set up chairs under dinghy dock tent. 

11:30- Dinghy Race participants arrive and load onto boats. 

12:15-1:15PM Dinghy Races 

12:00PM: Sonar and Keelboat Sailors arrive and load onto boats

12:30PM-1:30PM: Keelboat Races 

1:15-1:45: Dinghys off the water 

1:30-2PM Keelboats off the water 

12:30PM- Event Set up Volunteers - Prep tables for lunch under the pavilion. 

1:00-3: Lunch Served 

2:45PM: Awards Ceremony 

3PM: Event Wrap Up 

3:30PM: Volunteers head home


The DSC needs volunteers to fill the following positions:
  • rigger and de-rigger of boats
  • sailing buddies
  • lunch prep & awards prep
  • greeters
  • Escorts
  • transfer aids
  • safety boat operator
  • Freedom and sonar skipper
  • Freedom and sonar crew
