Sunday Open Sail

This is the bi-weekly afternoon sail for DSC members at crew level and above. Skippers and crews meet on the docks at noon, are assigned to boats by the dockmasters, and then set off sailing until they decide to call it an afternoon. The J/22s and Sonars fill first. Crew are then assigned to other boats, including Impulses and, possibly, a few cruisers. Access 10 dinghies are also available for those who have attended an orientation to sailing the dinghies. Sunday sails are a great way to enjoy a relaxing day on the water. But relaxing doesn't mean lazy! You will rotate through the various positions to gain experience and build your skills. Everyone will get a chance at the tiller. If the skipper doesn't ask you to take the tiller, you should be asking the skipper! Don't forget your membership card and a bottle of water.
