  • 12 Jun 2021
  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Downtown Sailing Center "A" Dock
  • 3

Registration

  • Sailing on a Freedom Keelboat with a skipper and crew. 2 members of the same household per boat.
  • This registration is for those interested in sailing in a Hansa Access Dinghy. These are our 1- to 2-person adapted boats. You may sail on your own or bring a guest. At this time, due to COVID-19, we are unable to provide volunteer sailing buddies.

Please arrive between 10:00 and 10:15 AM. This allows time for transfer assistance into the boats, and on the water time. Boats will be available for sailing for up to 2 hours (10:00-12:00), and can only be sailed once per day due to COVID-19 concerns.
Once sailors are out on the water, spectators may enter the dock and watch the boats sail from under the tent! Spectators will need to wait under the tent or the pavilion while volunteers help the boats dock and during transfer assistance.
Please view our 2020 protocol before committing to registration. Thank you!

Registration is closed

This is a no-cost, volunteer-run program that allows individuals with disabilities to experience the freedom of sailing and learn to sail.

Sailors come to the Downtown Sailing Center (DSC) and are coached and often assisted by a tireless group of volunteers, friends and family. Sailing time will be from 10:00am until 12:00pm.

The boat we offer is a "Hansa Access Dinghy," which is a small one- to two-person sailboat specifically designed for people with limited mobility. They are easy to sail and can be sailed solo, or with a family member or friend.

This year, due to COVID-19 concerns, we are unable to provide volunteer sailing buddies, or use the Sonar and Freedom 20 keelboats, but we sincerely hope to be able bring them back to this program in 2022.

**Everyone who wishes to participate must wear a mask at all times while on campus and on the docks. Mouth and nose must be covered.*

Please be sure to carefully review our 2020 Safety Protocol and event schedule prior to your commitment to sailing with us:
