Fleet Week Open House - Open to the Public!

  • Help rig dinghies and go sailing with any of our participants who need some coaching.

Ahoy!  This is a chance to try out sailing for Free with the Downtown Sailing Center, Baltimore City’s Community Sailing Organization during Fleet Week celebrations. No experience necessary! This is an accessible event!

Come check out all the DSC has to offer and see the ships in town for Fleet Week!  You'll enjoy a 1.5 hour sail around Baltimore and will get a chance to see the ships berthed in Fells Point and at Under Armour. All Ages are welcome to see the facility but we like for our sailors to be 7 y/o and Up. 

Your sail will be with a qualified DSC skipper, and we will provide life jackets for all participants. We recommend wearing close-toed shoes and bringing a bottle of water. There is a maximum group size of 4 people per boat. Our skippers are well trained and very experienced with our fleet so you are in safe hands!

For your convenience we offer 2 separate arrival times for you to choose from:

  • 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
  • 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM

Already a member?! Feel free to sign up to volunteer, either as Skipper, Crew, or Shore Volunteer.

This is a FREE event that is open to the public. Please register in advance if you plan to come.  This event is Rain or Shine, so please dress for the weather! When you arrive, park in the gravel lot near the water and check-in with DSC volunteers near the docks.
