The course is designed to help new sailors feel comfortable on a boat and teach them the basic skills needed to competently crew on a small keelboat with an experienced skipper. An Introduction to Sailing course consists four Mondays from 5:30 PM until sundown. An experienced instructor and up to four students (usually only three students)are on the water in a Sonar or J/22. Sonars and J/22's are keelboats which are safe (non-capsizable), comfortable and fun.
