Description
This Marine Electrical Seminar will provide you with an introduction to the electronics aboard a recreational vessel like the DSC Cruisers. It will be taught at an introductory level and cover the basic and important knowledge any cruiser needs to know to do basic troubleshooting and repairs, and to understand the systems aboard their vessel.
The following topics will be covered:
- AC vs DC, wiring conventions - Circuits, switches, resistors, loads - Battery chargers - Motors - Tools / multimeter - Safety
The presenter is Joey Katzenstein, an experienced marine professional of over 20 years. Joey was an engineer at Moran Towing Corporation through 2022, overseeing general maintenance and repair of a fleet of 70+ commercial marine vessels. He has also been a Captain on commercial tugs, and brings a wealth of experience to the DSC.
The class will be held in the Liberty Room, on the 3rd floor of the brick building along Key Highway. You'll receive an email on the day of the class with building entry instructions.
