DSC Cruising Skipper Boat Orientations
All DSC Cruising Skippers & Cruising Crew (must have a 2024 Cruising Upgrade)

The purpose of this event is to allow all 15 current Cruising Skippers and DSC staff the opportunity to attend orientations on all five cruisers in one day. The Cruising Boat Managers will assign groups of 4-5 skippers promptly at 1:00pm for a shotgun start on all boats, rotating through 30 minute orientations on each boat. Based on space availability, cruising crew will be added to each group for the rotation up to max of 5-6 people per boat.
This orientation will fulfill the Cruising Skipper's bi-annual orientation requirement to reserve and/or skipper a DSC cruisers during the 2024 season. After that, Cruising Skippers will need to schedule an orientation individually with the Boat Managers at least one week prior to reserving a boat during the 2024 season.
This orientation is not mandatory for Cruising Crew, rather an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the entire 2024 cruiser fleet, and add competence for typical First Mate duties.
