This event is to host Jack & Jill of America, a national organization which organizes programming in cultural awareness, educational development, health, civic and social/ recreational.
The participants are approximately 12 young 'tweens' of middle school age. They were asked to arrive around 12:30, but the event officially starts at 1pm, ending at 3 pm.
There will be a brief 15 minute safety briefing and chalk talk prior to getting on the water. The sail would be 45 minutes to 1 hour, with no set curriculum. It would include a brief tour of the harbor and give an introduction to sailing for the participants.
Crew for this event would assist with launching, docking, and boat handling for the event. Skippers will be pre-assigned. We aim to have 4 J22s, and 3 participants, 1 skipper and 1 crew per boat for the event.
