Kayak Orientation
We will meet in the gravel parking lot. Please bring your PFD or grab one from A Dock on your way over.
Are you interested in paddling the DSC kayaks? Sign up for this orientation, to learn where the equipment is, how to install the seats on the kayaks, how to launch and put away your kayak.
After attending this orientation, you'll be given the combination to the Kayak Dock Box and access to reserve kayaks. The orientation is a one-time event, if you have been oriented previously there's no need to repeat it.
Important Notes:
- Please be on time! You must arrive no later than 5 minutes after the event start time to be included in the training.
- Everyone needs to get in and out of a kayak on the water in order to pass the orientation, so wear clothing you are comfortable getting dirty/wet.
- Please review and fill out the kayak policy before arriving
- Bring a mobile device to write down any important information, including combos for the equipment and docks.
Weather permitting, feel free to go for a post-orientation paddle!
