This event is to host God's Best Family.
God’s Best Family is a Baltimore-based nonprofit organization founded in South Baltimore in 2009. They are dedicated to transforming the lives of youth and families in our community. Their aim is to bridge the socioeconomic gap in Baltimore by supplying members in the community with access to the support and resources they need to realize their potential and succeed long term. They provide children and families with childcare services, education access, health advocacy, and career development opportunities with the long-term goal of fostering a safe, healthy, engaged community. In addition, they seek to provide the children in our community with engaging, safe, educational opportunities to learn life skills while simultaneously enriching the community.
There will be an attendance of 42 participants. The 42 registered participants will be separated into two groups of 21. So, we will use 4-5 Sonars to host the event with one skipper, crewmember, and 4-6 participants per boat. Boats will be rigged and launched from B-Dock.
While one group is sailing, the other half will learn how to tie knots and have a hands-on experience on learning how to rig a boat to sail. At the transition, we will switch between the morning sailing group and morning dockside group.
