Adaptive Sailing & Access-Ability Saturday Volunteer Training

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the DSC's Access-Ability Saturdays! Your support is invaluable, as these events wouldn’t be possible without dedicated volunteers like you.

We’re excited to invite you to our Spring training session, perfect for new volunteers and seasoned sailors alike. This training is an excellent opportunity to brush up on skills and gain important knowledge about supporting our Adaptive Sailing programs.

• Preparing for the Adaptive Sailing Season
• Disabilities Awareness Training
• Volunteer Roles Overview
• Equipment Set-Up (Hoyer)
• Transfer Assistance Techniques
• Hansa (Rigging & Derigging)

This session is the only dedicated Access-Ability training scheduled for 2026, making it an essential opportunity to learn, ask questions, and prepare for the season ahead.  If you cannot make it, we recommend reviewing the Volunteer Handbook.
