In order to improve the uniformity and look of our fleet, we're going to put DSC stickers on the bows of each of our boats. This work doesn't get done by itself, so we need everyone to pitch in and make it happen.
Tidewater yacht services has done an awesome job getting our boats looking shiny. Now's the time for us to step up and make sure the shine lasts. With an electric buffer you will compound and wax the topsides of Joker and Jammin'. In addition to being comfortable with power tools, you will need to wear ear and eye protection.
Jared and Friends have spent a lot of time prepping the rudders for the day fleet. There is still more to do, though. Help the DSC move toward ablative paint by donning a dust mask and ear protection and sanding the rudders down to the gel-coat so we can build them back up with a barrier coat and ablative antifouling paint.
Here comes the fun part! After all the hard work we've accomplished on the Mary Anna - cleaning and scraping and sanding her hull, removing barnacles and old paint - it's time for the easy part. Join us to put on two new layers of paint to keep Mary Anna fresh for the 2013 season. Participants will be required to wear a respirator, work suit, gloves and glasses.
Sayonara, Jazz, Jolly Roger, Joker, and Jammin' all have new paint on their hulls. CoCoJ & Jolie will be returning to the docks as well, and their rigs won't step themselves.
